We all knew Sony Reader PRS-T1 ran Android underneath it all. But who knew it could be hacked to run other e-reader apps for Android. The device has already been hacked to run AWLauncher. It supports various e-reader apps. You still can’t play games on the device. Some games such as Angry Birds crash on it.
Sony Reader PRS-T1 e-reader is not the only e-reader that has been hacked. NOOK Simple Touch has also been rooted for its users to get around some of the restrictions B&N imposes onit.
It will be interesting to see if Kindle’s Android app runs on Sony Reader PRS-T1 e-reader. The above hack is in an early stage at this point.
