Have you ever wanted to take your e-reader with you underwater? We haven’t either. But professional divers who spend a considerable amount of time underwater (like Mark Thurlow and Robin Jacoway) may have the need for it. Some of these divers go down to depths of 300-400 ft and can’t come out of water right away (to avoid decompression issues). Having an e-reader in those situations might be very helpful.
The above video demonstrates how two divers have used a modified case to keep their e-reader safe underwater. These machine crafted metal cases keep water from reaching the e-readers. This GATE case is not only waterproof but also pressure proof. Unfortunately, this case is not available for sale. These could be an overkill for most of us anyway.
