Sony is not new to E-ink devices. The company has had E-ink e-readers for years. Sony’s latest creation will target students. It will have a 13.3 inch screen with 1200 * 1600 pixels resolution. The display features electromagnetic induction technology. Users will be able to add notes and interact with PDF files using a stylus.
What’s neat about this “tablet” is the fact that it can go for up to 3 weeks on a single charge. That is if you turn the WiFi off. We are talking about a prototype here. The final product is still months away.[via]
