Recently, we had the chance to compare the Kindle Keyboard with Kobo Aura HD and other top e-readers. The device is still a pretty awesome e-reader but Amazon is not going to keep it around forever. The Kindle DX has already been dead for a while, so Amazon’s days of selling e-readers with a physical keyboard may be coming to an end soon.
As Engadget has reported, the Kindle Keyboard 3G is now out of stock on Amazon. You can still buy it from third-party sellers but this does suggest Amazon may be getting ready to pull the plug on the device. Amazon is already working on a 10 inch Kindle Fire and a Kindle phone. It is not going to spend its resources on keeping too many old Kindle models around. The good news is the Kindle Keyboard was not exactly the greatest e-reader around. There are much better options out there for shoppers.
