The NOOK application has been around for Windows 8 for quite some time. We had a chance to review the application a while back. B&N has now released a new version of it that allows consumers to log in user their Microsoft Account credentials. That makes accessing your content on your Windows 8 device more convenient. Considering that Microsoft has invested a significant amount of money in B&N, this move is not a surprise.
The move simplifies reading and shopping for e-books on Windows 8 devices. The fact that users won’t have to remember separate credentials is a big plus. Will this make the NOOK app for Windows 8 a whole lot more popular? That remains to be seen.
