MeeGo Running On Nook Color?

Many of us did not give Nook Color a chance when B&N released the device to the market a few months ago. The device was not as good as iPad and did not have an E-ink screen. But it has been a lovely toy for hackers. First, it was hacked to run Android applications. Some even tried to run Kindle on the device. The hacks keep on coming though. This time around MeeGo has been installed and tested by Nomovok team.

MeeGo is not exactly the best known smart-phone OS around. But it seems to run amazingly well on Nook Color. The hack is not perfect though. There are Bluetooth and gravity sensor issues to be resolved.

MeeGo may be an interesting OS to run on Nook Color. But you are probably better off getting Honeycomb or other Android-based solutions installed on your handheld e-reader. There is no question though that these hacks have helped make B&N’s Nook Color as popular as it is. Somehow we believe B&N does not mind these hacks at all.
