Some of us have still not come to terms with the fact that Google Reader is going away in a few weeks. The time to start moving your feeds is now though. Feedly is one of many services that is getting a lot of attention from former Google Reader users. It has grown significantly in the past few weeks. Feedly has already released its roadmap for the rest of the year to give us an idea where it is going:

1) Speed. This is the most important aspect of the feedly experience. We recently hired some great people on both the dev and ops sides and we look forward to sharing with you the result of their work.

2) Search within my feedly (link to uservoice).

3) Pure web access (see uservoice).

4) Windows Phone and Windows 8 (link to uservoice)

5) Improved group sharing (see survey result)

6) Bug fixes (login, utm_source, loading…, missing feedly mini, adding feeds)

Feedly is working with developers of Reeder, gReader, Newsify, and Nextgen Reader to get them to support the service. You will be able to access your feeds from all those apps before Google Reader retires. Now that’s something exciting to hear.
