Dual Screen Smartphones with E-ink Screen Are Coming

Smartphones of the future could have more than one screen. They are likely to keep their shiny displays but also add an e-ink screen on one side. E-ink displays don’t consume too much energy, which means you will be able to use your phone when you are running low on battery or don’t want to use the shiny screen on your phone.
The idea is not new of course. Amazon has just applied for a patent for a device with LCD and E-ink screens. When will we see these phones? That remains to be seen. But some phone makers seem to be interested. The idea has potential.
