Kindle Books on OLPC XO-4 Laptop

The One Laptop Per Child project is a truly interesting endeavor. The latest XO Laptops have been enhanced with XO-4 Touch supporting touchscreen input. As it turns out, it is possible to read Kindle books on these devices easily. The below video shows the XO-4 laptop running Amazon’s Cloud Reader. The resolution of the screen does require users to do some adjusting before reading books.
The XO-4 laptop does not have any Kindle app available for it. It does have a Marvell Armada PX2128 CPU processor with 2 GB RAM, 8 GB Flash storage, and a SD card slot. 2 USB ports and a HDMI port are included too. It is nice to see that the device can handle Amazon’s cloud reader though.
