Txtr Beagle: $13 E-book Reader?

The new Kindles and NOOKs are all going for low prices. A couple of years ago, these prices were unthinkable. But who wants to pay over $100 for a Kindle Paperwhite when you can get a Txtr Beagle for $13. That’s right. This device is dubbed as being the smallest e-reader in the world. It is 5mm thick and fits in any pocket. So what do you get for $13? You may not get premium features that can be found in a Kindle Paperwhite. But the device has a 5 inch E-ink screen with 800 * 600 screen resolution.

Txtr Beagle’s 4GB storage is more than enough to store a few books. To use the device, you have to order books on your phone and transfer them to your Beagle using its free app. The device runs on a pair of AAA batteries. You won’t need a cable or charger for your e-reader, which is a positive.

Is the Txtr Beagle any good? We will have to test it to figure that out. But at that price, the device might sell well.
