Speck Fitted Kindle Case Review

What makes the perfect Kindle case? It really depends. Some prefer highly expensive cases that focus more on the looks, and some prefer those rugged cases that protect Kindle but do not exactly look great. I personally prefer my case to provide a nice balance of looks, ease-of-use, and protection. The good folks at Speck Products were kind enough to send us a case that provides just that — Speck Fitted Kindle Case. On the surface, the case may not look as fancy of those $120 Kindle case, but it does have the right balance.

As you can see in the above figure, this case has two pieces to it. What’s nice about Speck Fitted Case is that it’s very easy to put together and fits your Kindle perfectly. No more struggling to get your device inside the case (an issue that many other cases are suffering from). The case may be simple to put together, but it does feel hard enough to handle minor accidents (we are not talking about putting your Kindle under a truck to see what happens though). It’s also very stylish too. We received the Black & White Tartan Plaid which looks pretty decent. You do have the option to go with Gray Houndstooth or Black Speakeasy Pinstripe style if you like somewhat darker designs.

As you may have realized by now, the case is designed to add some style and toughness to your device. Then there is the convenience factor. The case gives you access to all your ports and buttons, so you can use your device to your heart’s desire without having to take your Kindle out every second. The case does not add any significant bulk to your e-reader either, so it’s perfect whether you use it at home or on the move. The only thing missing is a screen protector.

Overall, Speck Fitted Kindle Case is a nice, solid case for Kindle that offers you a good balance of style, toughness, and convenience. Keeps scratches away, protects your device against minor accidents, and adds almost no bulk to your reader. What more can you ask for?
