With all the talk about Kindle, iPad, and Nook Color, it is easy to somewhat forget about what Sony is doing as far as its ereader business is concerned. The company may have been a tad bit late in the game, but it has finally brought its Reader app to Android. Reader for Android allows its users to take notes, highlight passages, and synchronize their reading positions.

Sony Reader for Android supports PDF and EPUB files. It also supports titles downloaded from Sony’s eBook store. Users can adjust font sizes and synchronize their information to their Reader Daily Edition. This application does come with 3 classics and 3 new titles just to put the icing on the cake.

Sony Reader for Android is most useful to those who actually own a Sony Reader. It is a decent e-reader application, but Sony’s ebook offerings are somewhat limited. Kindle and Nook for Android are more useful products at this point.
