The idea of flexible tablets is nothing new. The prototypes by Plastic Logic from a few years back gave us all an idea what to expect. PaperTab is the latest flexible touchscreen product that lets users go through documents and send e-mails using hand gestures. This tablet is almost as thin as a piece of paper and very flexible.

PaperTab has an Intel i5 processor that connects to the tablet using a thin data cable. It has a 10.7 inch screen and makes sharing content with other users easy. Sharing information between Papertab devices is very easy. You can also join screens to make a bigger display.

Plastic Logic’s flexible plastic displays are completely transformational in terms of product interaction. They allow a natural human interaction with electronic paper, being lighter, thinner and more robust compared with today’s glass-based displays.

explained Indro Mukerjee, CEO of Plastic Logic. This is a prototype at this point. There is no word on when this will be an actual product. But there is no question flexible smartphones and tablets are the future.
