Onswipe: Strong Holiday for Kindle Fire

Amazon has been selling a ton of Kindle Fire devices. Its content ecosystem makes Kindle Fire very attractive to consumers. It is not a surprise that Onswipe is reporting that interest was high in Kindle Fire and Nexus tablets during the holiday season of 2012. Interestingly enough, traffic from Kindle tablets jumped almost 52% following the holiday while the Nexus 7 experienced a 136.77% increase in share. The Nexus 7 did lose a considerable percent of its gained traffic after the holiday season though.

The fact that the Kindle Fire maintained its gained traffic for longer means that consumers are more happy with the latest generation of Kindles. That is to be expected since the second generation Kindle Fire devices are much better than the first version. Apple is still dominating tablet traffic in market share though. That won’t be changing anytime soon.
