Microsoft is finally has tablets of its own. Apple may have dominated the tablet market for years. But it will now have to go head to head against Microsoft in this market. Microsoft Surface is a shiny device with a 10.6 inch screen (1080p resolution). It will have two flavors. The non-Pro version will run Windows 8 RT with an ARM processor inside. The device is only 9.3 mm thick and quite lightweight. It will be available in 32 / 64 GB versions.

Microsoft Surface will have 2×2 MIMO antennae. That means you are going to get a decent wireless reception on this device. The VaporMg case / stand are quite cool. You also get a Touch Cover with a thin keyboard and a multi-touch trackpad. The Pro version comes with an Intel processor, USB 3.0, micro SDXC and full HD display.

Microsoft did not announce how much these will cost. But the Surface is quite a shiny device. It will be worth considering for those who are hooked on Windows and would love to use the same platform on their tablet. These tablets will be released when Windows 8 hits the market, which is in a couple of months.

Are you impressed?
