LG is the latest company to take on the iPad mini with a new tablet of its own. The G Pad 8.3 happens to be a full HD tablet with a 8.3 inch display, 1.7 GHz quad core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage. It has a 5 MP rear facing camera, and a 4600mAh battery. The device runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Here are the key G Pad 8.3 specifications:

  • Snapdragon 600 Processor (1.7GHz Quad-Core)
  • 16GB eMMC memory
  • 2GB LPDDR2 RAM
  • Rear 5.0MP / Front 1.3MP camera
  • 4,600mAh battery
  • 8.3 inch WUXGA  1920 x 1200 pixels display
  • Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2

G Pad will include KnockOn capability which lets users shut down the device by tapping on its screen twice. Thanks to the QPair app, every call and message received on your smartphone will appear on the G Pad. The pricing information was not released at the time of this writing.
