kobo

Kobo is the latest company to bring new tablets and e-readers to the market this year. It is releasing Kobo Aura 6″ e-ink reader and Google certified Kobo Arc 10HD in addition to two Kobo Arc 7 tablets. The Kobo Arc 10HD tablet has a NVIDIA Tegra 4 1.8GHz quad core processor inside with 2 GB of RAM. It features a 2560×1600 high-definition display, a front-facing 1.3 MP HD camera, dual stereo speakers, WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, and 9.5 hours of battery life. The Kobo Arc 10HD is going for $399.

The Kobo Arc 7HD tablet has the NVIDIA Tegra®3 1.7GHz quad-core processor inside with 1920×1200 display and 1 GB of RAM. The battery lasts you 8 hours. The Kobo Arc 7 has a 1024X600 display with the MTK 8125 1.2GHz quad-core processor inside. The Kobo Arc 7HD and Arc 7 will set you back $249.99 and $149.99 respectively.

Considering our experience with Kobo products in the past, we feel more comfortable with the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets. If you need an Android tablet, those seem to be the best option to go with. But Kobo’s new tablets do seem to have potential.
