Those of you who have tried the default Android browser in the past know that it simply does the job. But that’s not the only browser available for your device. Firefox for Android does have its own merit. Mozilla wants you to test its browser. That’s why it is pre-installing it on the Kobo Arc tablets:
Like Kobo’s Readability features, Firefox has a Reader feature to offer another way for Kobo customers to view and read Web content by removing advertisements, adjusting pictures and increasing font size to show a more clear view of the page. Everything in your Firefox Reading List is available offline, so you can catch up on reading when Internet access is unavailable, like on an airplane or subway.
Kobo Arc tablets are available in the U.S. and Canada. Firefox is also coming to the GSmart Simba SX1 smartphone. Will this make people want to switch to Firefox on other Android devices? Probably not.[via]
