iPad 3 Prices To Go Up

Many e-book addicts use their iPads to get their readings done on a daily basis. The iPad is one of the best tablets around and has reached millions of homes already. On March 7th, the latest generation of this tablet will be announced. There have been plenty of rumors about the device having a better screen, more RAM, and a more quality camera. The latest leak on Chinese microblogging site Sina Weibo suggests that these new iPads will cost more than their predecessor.

The above table suggest an $80 price hike for the cheapest iPad model. The more expensive models are also getting $70 to $80 discounts. Considering that other tablet makers are working hard to reduce their prices, this comes out of nowhere. Apple does have a strong brand and has already proven that it can make quality tablets. But it is highly doubtful that this new pricing structure will make too many folks happy.

Your turn: will you still buy an iPad 3 even if it is $70 – $80 more expensive than previous generation iPads?
