How To Gift Kindle E-Books

Amazon may have not given its Kindle fans everything they asked for with Kindle 3. But one has to admire the company for listening and implementing new features for e-book fans. Amazon shoppers can now give the gift of Kindle e-books to their loved ones. The process is quite simple. All shoppers have to do is choose the e-book they want to gift and click on “give as gift” button.

Once they have done that, shoppers will need to enter their billing information as well as the information on who they want to send their gift to.

This option should have probably been available a while ago. But it is nice to see Amazon has listened to its customers:

We’re making this functionality available in time for the holidays to offer an easy, stress free holiday shopping option for anyone – not just Kindle owners,

said Russ Grandinetti, Vice President, Amazon Kindle. The good news is one does not need to own an Amazon Kindle to receive e-book gifts. e-books make great gifts. Amazon and Kobo have made it that much easier for shoppers to send e-books to their loved ones without jumping through hoops. The process is not perfect but it’s better than the alternative.
