Apple may be too busy working on the iWatch now, but it is not forgetting about its tablets and smartphones. In fact, the latest patent granted to Apple by the USPTO describes ways flexible displays can be as an input method. For instance, future iPads could have displays capable of creating new buttons on-demand. This technology is not completely new though. Tactus technology has already demonstrated how this would work.

It is not clear when Apple will actually introduce this technology. It is not the only cool trick the company is working on either. Let’s just say the iPads of the future could be much cooler than what we have today.
