Amazon Offers Offline Video Viewing on New Kindles

We have already covered the new Kindle HDX tablets. They are fast and have a lot to offer to first-time or more experienced tablet buyers. If you love the content Amazon has to offer, picking up a Kindle HDX makes a lot of sense. Prime members get a ton of free content to watch on their computer or tablet. Now they can download some movies and TV shows to their devices for up to 30 days and watch them without an Internet connection.

This feature could prove very helpful for travelers. Amazon would like to offer offline viewing for all its titles but that is not an option at this time. Let’s not forget that once you download and start a video, you have 48 hours to finish it. It will be interesting to see which Amazon competitors get more aggressive with this strategy.
