YotaPhone – LCD + E-Ink Smartphone: Video

We have seen some exciting smartphone concepts in the past. The YotaPhone is quite special though. This exciting device is powered by Android and has dual screens (LCD and E-ink). Both screens measure 4.3 inches. The LCD screen has a resolution of 1280 x 720. That is more than useful for playing games and watching movies. For reading e-books and newspapers, the phone’s electronic paper display comes handy.

The EPD automatically updates itself with social media updates, notifications, and calendar entries. That is especially nice since E-ink displays do not require much power to operate. The device has a 1.5GHz dual-core Krait processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It has a 2100mAh battery inside too. The device is expected to launch in the second half of 2013.
