Amazon Launching 2 New Kindles?

In the past few days, we have heard a lot about the Nexus 7 tablet and how it is superior to the Kindle Fire. Amazon has to step up its game to keep people interested in its tablet and e-readers. A trusted source has told BGR that Amazon is planning to bring two new Kindle Fire tablets to the market with improved build and metal casing. Amazon fans will have a 7 inch and a 10 inch tablet to choose from.

The source has suggested the new Kindles will offer improved build quality. Both models are rumored to have a metal casing in place of plastic. The 10 inch version will have a front-facing camera and a microUSB port. Amazon still has its work cut out for it. The Google Nexus 7 is not an iPad killer but has a lot of features for a $199 tablet.

Amazon may have sold a ton of Kindle Fires in the past few months, but it will need to introduce vastly improved Kindles to continue attracting customers. A more aggressive pricing strategy would help though we are not sure if Amazon tablets could get any cheaper (unless they are subsidized with ads).

Are you excited about the upcoming Kindle Fire tablets? What features would you like them to offer?
