We have argued for a few years that the iPad is a distracting device for those who just want to use their tablet for reading e-books. It has too many bells and whistles and plenty of distracting apps. But your iPad can be a great educational tool as well. The Khan Academy app for iPad contains a ton of videos you can download to your device and go through on the go.

Khan Academy offers over 2700 videos. These cover topics such as biology, chemistry, physics, history, and a whole lot more. The application keeps track of users’ progress and achievements. Navigating through the content of Khan Academy is pretty straight forward on iPad. It is nice to know that the developers will be bringing exercises to the app in the future.

Apps such as Khan Academy turn your iPad into an educational tool for science, math, and many other topics. The content is offered for free too!
