Flipboard for iPhone Debuts

Those of you who do a lot of reading on your iPads know how fun using Flipboard is. It is a powerful application that consolidates updates from your favorite social networks into a digital magazine on your tablet. Flipboard for iPad creates elegant magazines and makes keeping up with all your favorite RSS feeds easier. The app has now been launched for iPhones.

Flipboard for iPhone is very similar to its iPad counterpart but it is designed for smaller screens. It is speedy and very intuitive. It can handle updates from Twitter, Facebook, Google Reader, Instagram, and other top social services. Flipboard is optimized to work in portrait mode. Page flipping is quite fast in this product.

Flipboard is introducing “Cover Stories” in its iPhone app. Cover Stories are a collection of interesting articles and photos shared with users online. You can get all your Flipboard preferences by signing into your account on your smartphone. The app is quite an elegant reader but remains free at this time.
