All successful companies have to deal with lawsuits from time to time. In fact, the more successful a company becomes, the more likely it has to face all kinds of lawsuits. Amazon is not different. The company has had a lot of success selling Kindles. Now that it is preparing to bring Kindle Fire to the market, it is facing a whole host of lawsuits from all directions. Since the start of the year, Amazon has faced lawsuits from 11 companies.

Amazon’s Kindle and sales process are under attack at this point. The number of lawsuits the company faces will surely increase in the near future. After all, Kindle Fire is destined to become a huge player in the tablet business. The company plans to defend itself against these attacks. A few of the lawsuits against Amazon have been tossed out already.

These lawsuits can only continue to increase, especially as Amazon makes more hardware … The field is clogged with lawsuits, particularly with products that run on Google’s Android software, which its new Kindle Fire tablet uses,

said Colin Gillis, senior technology analyst at BGC Partners. Amazon will need to get more active in acquiring patents to keep itself protected against future lawsuits.
