In case you have not noticed, the number of Kindle games and apps has increased significantly in the past couple of months. Amazon does not offer thousands of apps for Kindle. But it has enough to keep Kindle owners busy. If you are a fan of word games, these 5 Kindle apps are worth checking out:

Jigsaw Words: this game challenges you to combine groups of letters to make words that match the hints given. This is a free game.

Every Word: Crossings: your goal in this game is to make words out of scrambled letters on a crossword style grid. It has 10 levels for you to challenge yourself with.

SCRABBLE: brings the popular SCRABBLE game to your Kindle. You can play it on your own, with a friend, or against the Kindle.

Word Search: another classic word game for Kindle. Can you locate and cross off words in the grid? You can play it at your own pace or try to beat the clock.

Thread Words: this game challenges you to find words by using one letter in each column. 4 levels of difficulty are offered. The timed mode is optional

Have you tried any of these word games on Kindle?
