Sony Is Done Making E-Readers

sony

I still remember my early Sony Reader from a few years back. I am talking about pre-Kindle days. Those days are long gone. In fact, Sony won’t be making any more e-readers after the PRS-T3 device. It really shouldn’t surprise anyone. As popular as Kindle devices have been, other e-readers have struggled to stay relevant. Let’s take into account ever decreasing tablet prices, and Sony was never going to be competitive with any future e-reader product.

Sony could have prolonged its e-readers’ death. But it is the right decision to end its Reader devices now. Don’t worry as Amazon will continue making e-reader for the foreseeable future.
