Samsung Gear Live, LG G Watch Teardown Reports

The Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch are two interesting smartwatches. They are both powered by Android Wear and help you keep up with your notifications and the information you need on the go. Both watches have gotten a teardown treatment on iFixIt.

The LG G Watch has a 1.65″ IPS LCD display, 400 mAh battery, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, and 4 GB of memory. The device has received a repairability score of 9 out of 10, which means you will be able to change its battery and perform simple fixes.

The Samsung Gear Live has a 1.63″ Super AMOLED display, a 1.2 GHz processor, and a 300 mAh Battery. iFixIt has given this watch a repairability score of 8 out of 10. It does seem that many Samsung Gear Live watch owners are experiencing issues with its charging component though. It will be interesting to see how the iWatch stacks up against these Android Wear watches.
