PocketBook Aqua: Waterproof eBook Reader

Waterproof e-book readers are nothing new. We have already covered companies that charge you extra to make your Kindle waterproof. Wouldn’t it be nice if your e-reader was able to survive water exposure without you having to spend more money to make it waterproof? The PocketBook Aqua happens to be an e-reader that is dust-proof and watertight.

The device can be under 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. It is still not designed for scuba diving, but most of us don’t need an e-reader for that. The device has a 800 × 600 pixel E-ink display. It has a 1 GHz processor, 256 MB RAM, and 4 GB of internal storage. PocketBook Aqua certainly sounds interesting but I don’t expect Amazon or other players in this market to follow suit.
