E-book readers such as Kobo Glo are not only fun to use but easy to hack. We have seen Kindle, NOOK, and other e-reader devices hacked in the past. User SyreKron on Mobileread has made an interesting discovery: it is possible to run Android on Kobo Glo devices. The hack is successful thanks to Tolino Shine’s firmeware. That device is also an e-book reader with some things in common with the Kobo Glo.

Should you try this hack? Probably not if you are not too adventurous. Besides, we are talking about Android 2.3 only. The main reason to try hacks like this is to load more e-reading apps and have access to more content on these e-readers.

Will you try this?
