The jury is still out on Windows Phone 7. Many experts consider it to be overrated while there are some who think it will be a game changer in the mobile OS business. Regardless, it will be getting a Kindle app. Amazon has announced that it will soon release a Kindle app for Windows Phone 7 phones. The timing could not be any better for Amazon. Microsoft expects big things from its latest O/S in the next couple of months. Amazon intends to pounce on Microsoft’s momentum when WP 7 is still hot out of the oven.

The details are sketchy about this application. It is expected to offer an experience optimized for Microsoft’s  mobile OS. Amazon Kindle store now offers 725K+ titles that can be accessed on WP 7 phones. For all the criticism Amazon gets for its Kindle strategy, it has done a wonderful job bringing Kindle to as many platforms as possible.
