teardown

So you have gotten yourself a new Kindle Fire HD 6? Many of us buy these tablets without even thinking about the possibility of having to repair them. Most people buy a new tablet when their old tablet stops working anyway. But it is always nice to own a tablet that is somewhat repairable. It just so happens that the folks at iFixit have released a Kindle Fire HD 6 teardown report, giving the new Kindle a repairability score of 8 out of 10.

The rear case is easy to open. You don’t need fancy screwdrivers to open your tablet. The simple design means you don’t have too many parts to deal with. You may need a heat gun to replace a cracked glass though.
