Kindle 2.0 Release Date

Today is the day! Kindle 2.0 is expected to be introduced to the whole world by Jeff Bezos at a press conference in New York. Unlike Kindle 1.0, Kindle 2.0 has gotten much better media coverage and folks have more familiarity with what the device is all about. Kindle 2.0 may look a bit sleeker than Kindle 1.0, but it still does not entertain a color screen. The price range has been rumored to be anything between $299-$359 (which is not significantly different that what folks have to pay to get their hands on the old Kindle).

If rumors are true, Amazon will also announce its entry into the mobile book market. There have been rumors about Kindle iPhone application,  but I personally can’t see Amazon cannibalizing their Kindle device. Either way, the wait is finally over, and all will be revealed today!
