eBooks Come to Online Android Market

Google has huge plans for its Google Books project. There are already a ton of titles available on Google Books. Android fans now have the option to purchase books on the web or on their Android tablet and have them show up on their devices automatically. Xoom tablet already has Google Books on-board but it is nice to have the option to purchase Google books through the web.

It is interesting to note that buyers do not have to own an Android tablet to read their Google Books bought through the Android market. Once you make your purchase, it is added to your Google account, which will be accessible on your computer, laptop, or tablet. B&N and Sony e-readers support these books too.

The “experience” part of it probably needs a bit of work. Still, this is a good step forward by Google.
