Drivers: Don’t Kindle and Drive

People being passionate about reading brings a lot of warmth to our hearts. Kindle has made it possible for people to read more books no matter where they are. Just because people can read e-books on the og, that does not mean they should in every situation, especially not while driving. That’s exactly what a TriMet bus driver has done. He was caught reading on his Kindle while driving in I-5. We only wonder what was so fascinating about the document he was reading.

The driver’s lawyer has denied this incident has happened (at least not how the passengers have described it). Regardless, this just goes on to show that Kindle won’t necessarily make you any smarter. Someone who is so passionate about e-books should have known better. These dumb moves don’t help anyone.

Will Amazon introduce a special “mode” in Kindle to prevent reading while driving in the future (similar to what GPS manufactures have done)?  Not likely. But, you’d be surprised what a couple of lawsuits do these days.
