$249 iPad Mini 2 Coming?

The iPad mini is already a pretty awesome tablet at a fairly reasonable price (for Apple). Since we have been hearing a lot about Apple building more budget devices, it does not surprise us that some folks are talking about the possibility of the iPad mini 2 being offered for $249. That would allow Apple to reach many more homes. The trouble is we don’t anticipate that to happen this year.

Apple may have sold a ton of iPad mini devices in the past few months. That came at a big price though. Product cannibalization is something Apple should be concerned about. The company does make a lot of profit off of selling larger iPads. A $249 iPad mini means higher sales and less profits for the company. We will have to wait to see whether this rumor is true.
