Digg Reader: What It Will Be About {Video}

We are getting awfully close to the last day for Google Reader. The service was great but more people are now coming to terms with the idea of it going away. Google was not innovating in this field anyway but it was holding others back. Now that the market is going to get reset, Digg and a few other companies will be aiming to fill the void that Google Reader leaves.

Speaking at Internet Week New York, Digg CEO revealed that the Digg Reader is coming along and looks quite good. It won’t be a standalone RSS reader either. This will be a production tool which will give users the ability to sort and rank stories. Digg has talked about this service being a paid one in the past. Details remain sketchy at this point but Digg is hoping to go live before July 1.
