Kindle for Windows 8 and Windows RT

So you are planning to adopt one of those new shiny Windows 8 or RT tablets? There are plenty of apps that let you read books on Windows (Windows RT does need a few more apps though). It is nice to know that the Kindle app will run on Windows 8 and Windows RT tablets. You can already download the app from Microsoft.com. Once there, you can use Amazon’s Whispersync technology to read books across all your devices.

Those of you who have tried the Kindle software on your PC in the past will find the experience familiar. This app will be much more useful to Windows RT tablet owners as those devices don’t run the standard version of Kindle for Windows. It will be interesting to see when other e-reader app developers will bring their apps to Windows RT tablets.
