e-Book Reader startups on the rise?

Amazon’s entrance in the eBook market has opened the eyes of venture capitalists to the potential of the ebook market. According to various sources, VCs are now paying more attention to startups which are trying to come up with ebook reader devices. An example for this is Hearst Interactive. HI is supporting first paper that is coming up with a device that will have Firefox on it. Analysts claim that next generation reader will have bigger screens, but I am not sure how that will affect the overall portability of these devices. But I do expect to see innovative products that offer many more features than our current Kindle. But we probably won’t see any of these in 2008.
