Amazon Prime Phone Specs: What To Expect

So Amazon is going to introduce a new phone soon. Just like its tablets and the Fire TV device, Amazon will be relying on a modified version of Android to power its devices. We also know that the device will be a 3D phone. Its software will use Omron’s Okao Vision face-sensing technology to track movement of the face. We could even get a Prime Data plan that would allow users to enjoy Amazon Prime content without burning through their minutes.

Here are the expected specs for the device:

  • 4.7-inch screen
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor
  • 2 GB of RAM
  • Six cameras on the device
  • Rear-facing 13 MP camera

The device will be announced on June 18th, 2014. The Prime phone certainly looks interesting on paper. Will it dominate the Android phone market? That remains to be seen.
