We are very lucky to have access to fairly affordable energy in this side of the world. That is not the case everywhere. But technology can change lives and make it possible for folks anywhere to have access to affordable energy. Take this jump rope for instance. It is an innovative device that generates energy for small gadgets. The more you use it, the more energy you will have to charge devices such as cellphones. Can it also charge e-readers and even tablets? That could very well be possible in the future.

The PULSE jump rope is currently available in a limited beta test run of 100 units. Each unit sets you back $129. I’d love to see where inventors go with this in a couple of years.
