There are many folks who use their NOOK tablet for more than just reading or watching books/videos. If you have needed a decent map app on your NOOK device, you might be happy to know that Skobbler has brought its maps to the NOOK Tablet and Color devices. ForeverMap 2 uses WiFi positioning to offer you guidance on the go. You get global and local maps.

ForeverMap 2 comes in two flavors. The standard version is free but there is a pro version that offers unlimited offline map downloads. Mp routing for pedestrians is offered too. The company promises to make this available to NOOK app developers. It remains to be seen how that will workout.
