Amazon Expanding Rentals for Kindle Books?

rent

Amazon’s Kindle devices have become pretty popular over the years. The fact that Amazon has a ton of content for its customers to take advantage of has only helped its cause. E-book prices could always be a bit lower though. According to multiple sources, Amazon may be in the process of expanding Kindle e-book rentals. That means its customers can now rent e-books for up to 4 months and save money in the process. Amazon has been renting textbooks in the past, so this approach is not completely new.

Amazon has not announced anything official about this, so that makes us question the whole story. Expanding Kindle book rentals is something Amazon would release an official announcement for (if not bundled with a letter by Jeff Bezos). We hope the story is true but until Amazon announces this officially, there is a good chance we are talking about textbook rentals here.
