Amazon Is Building a Kindle Phone with HTC

kindle

Amazon has already announced a bunch of new tablets this year. The Kindle Paperwhite still remains the best e-book reader on the market. The company has grand plans for the future though. We have been hearing about the company entering the wearable computers business. Before that happens, we are going to see an Amazon phone. As multiple sources have reported, Amazon is working with HTC to develop a range of smartphones.

We heard about the Kindle phone a few months ago. Releasing a phone is a bit more complicated than selling tablets, so the partnership with HTC makes sense. Amazon is in the business of selling physical goods and content. It already reaches millions of homes with its tablets and e-readers. Add Kindle phones, and Amazon will have more ways to sell you things.

Are you excited about the Kindle phone?
