google glass

Many folks are excited about the idea of wearing Google Glasses. Of course, some businesses are trying to ban these. Google is moving ahead with the project regardless. The specifications for Glass have now been released:

  • High resolution display is the equivalent of a 25 inch high definition screen from eight feet away.
  • 5MP/720P camera
  • Bone Conduction Transducer
  • Wifi – 802.11b/g
  • Bluetooth
  • 12 GB of usable memory
  • One full day battery life.
  • Micro USB cable

Google Glass will be compatible with any Bluetooth-capable phone. Its companion app will run on Android 4.0..3+ devices. You can easily use these for video recording, Hangouts, and other fun activities. Google Glass costs $1500 now but will be available for cheaper when is finally released. I personally prefer augmented reality lenses to Google Glass type devices. But these are going to be very popular.

What’s your take? Are you impressed?
