NOOK HD+ App Sideloading, Rooted Already?

B&N has already released its latest Android tablets. These new NOOKs have a lot going for them. But people are still going to want to root or sideload apps on them. The good news is B&N has already provided a guide on how to sideload apps on NOOK HD devices. This will teach you how to run third-party Android applications on your tablet. As you can see in the above screenshot, the process is not super easy. But you won’t have to rely on unofficial guides to pull it off.

Speaking of NOOK hacks, the NOOK HD+ has already been rooted. XDA’s verygreen has posted a proof of concept video showing that this is possible. The hack is not perfect as some hacked NOOKs have undergone reboot loops and factory resets. But the video does show that hacking the new NOOKs is not impossible. Just make sure you know the risks before pulling the trigger.
