The Kindle Fire Unboxing Videos

The wait for the Kindle Fire is finally over. Amazon has already started shipping out its Kindle Fire and Kindle Touch orders. Considering that bloggers and Amazon Vine members have been playing with the Kindle Fire for a while already, it is not a surprise to see unboxing videos for the Kindle Fire to show up on YouTube. As expected, the Kindle Fire has a compact design and an elegant interface. It comes ready to go right out of the box.

The Kindle Fire does not run apps from the Android Market. Not out of the box anyway. But there are ways to run apps that may not be available on the Amazon App Store. Not surprisingly, app developers have started targeting the Kindle Fire already. Many are expected to bring Kindle Fire optimized apps to the market soon.

The Kindle Fire is not an iPad killer and never intends to be. It is a tiny, compact tablet for media consumption. The device is not without its shortcomings. Nevertheless, it is one of the best tablets money can buy for $200. Considering that it is a first generation tablet by Amazon, it can be considered a successful start for Amazon in this market.

What’s your take? Which tablet are you going with: the Kindle Fire or NOOK Color 2?
