We all have our favorite authors. Some of them are more active than others. Keeping up with the latest works by your favorite writers does not have to be challenging. Not when you can use these tools to get alerts when new works are released:

author alarms

Author Alarms: a simple tool that sends you email alerts when your favorite authors release e-books or print books.

author

Track New Book: gives you multiple ways to track new books. You can do so by author, subject, keyword, and similarity.

book buzzes

Book Buzzes: not only offers author alerts but also suggests other authors whose work may interest you.

any new books

Any New Books: this tool provides you with new book listings on the topics that interest you. You can subscribe to RSS feeds for your favorite book categories too.

authoralerts

Author Alerts: gives you email notifications on your favorite authors’ new works. It also has an RSS feature. What’s neat is this service tells you how long you may have to wait to get your hands on the new books.

There are other tools you can use to keep track of new book releases (e.g. Google Alerts). But if you are interested in setting up email alerts for your favorite authors, the above tools have you more than covered.
